Nena Argent is a fulltime writer and cultural journalist who spent almost 10 years researching and writing in Asia. While traveling on assignment for tourism bureaus, travel magazines and for Visions International, she researched and wrote about diverse subjects of international interest and interviewed extraordinary, often reclusive, individuals involved in art, religion, Buddhism, Taoism, vegetarian lifestyles, natural healing and health, gemstones, jewelry, pottery and ceramics, Austronesian languages, culture and ancient artifacts, eastern carpets and oriental rugs, men’s and women’s fashion trends, ethnic music, Chinese opera and puppetry, aboriginal tribal life, unusual homes and lifestyles, adventure travel, Japanese hot springs and oriental style spas, Eastern beauty techniques and women’s beauty products including tattoos and permanent makeup procedures amongst other curious none-categorizable topics.  

Prior to her Asian experience, she lived in Central and South America,  the Caribbean, the United States, Canada and later Africa where she was fascinated, amongst other things, by art, sculpture, dance and  African gemstones.

After marrying an Eastern European artist (who she met in Barcelona and married in a private ceremony in Hong Kong), she and her husband returned to her native Spain, and began renovating an antique home in a small village amidst olive groves in Andalucía, close to the ancient Moorish city of Granada. Now, when not basking on a sunny Mediterranean beach,  sipping wine and savoring tapas in a Spanish Plaza or restoring the house, she writes for websites that offer information, history, advice and product reviews on a variety of subjects, putting to use her expertise on such wide-ranging topics as international fashion, unusual footwear, jewelry, women’s beauty, cultural and historic curiosities, and now expanding into suggestions regarding renovation and construction, patio design, outdoor furniture, year-round outdoor living, and her newest passion for home décor.
